Happy 2018! I can’t believe how fast 2017 went. I’m honestly truly grateful for everything that’s happened this past year and everything I have in my life. I have a job that I love, a boyfriend who I’m obsessed with, and the most amazing family and friends a girl could ask for. While 2017 was a good year, I’m really looking forward to what’s in store for 2018.
This year, I have a few things I want to focus on. My #1 is making health a priority, in all aspects of my life. I know most people have this or some iteration of this as a resolution, but this year it’s more serious to me than in years prior. 2017 saw some health scares from a very important person, which is never an easy thing to deal with. It really puts into perspective how being healthy is one of the most important things you can do for yourself, not only to help avoid anything serious but also to aid in recovery if something does happen. This year I’m determined to get in the best shape I’ve been in, by both eating better and working out more regularly. Unfortunately, my year has already had a little bit of a setback in this department as I’ve been sick since NYE! Once I’m better, I’m getting back to the gym!
For my blog, I really want to put more into it and try to grow it. I started this blog out of pure enjoyment, never with the goal of making money or becoming huge. I want to make this blog the best it can be, and really provide content I’m proud of every time I post something new. If anything more were to ever come of that, then that would simply be a bonus. I’ve learned that having a blog and making it great does truly take a lot of work – I never want to look back on this and wish I had done more, knowing I could. Along the same lines, I’m going to try and show who I am a bit more through my blog. The reason I love so many of the bloggers I follow is because I feel like you know them. I try to keep my personal life somewhat separate, especially as I try to not be on my phone at all times, but I know that in order to really make my blog great I have to let more of myself in. To start, I’m using a picture without sunglasses on! Many people have asked me why I don’t take more pictures without sunglasses on – I get self conscious about the way I look without them, but I am going to try and show my face a bit more. I hope you all continue to follow me along this journey!
What are your resolutions for the new year?
