I hope you all had an amazing weekend – mine was really low key, which was just what I wanted. I met up with my blogger friend Samantha on Saturday morning to shoot some new looks. We met up in front of the library in Bryant Park, and love how the photos turned out! While the shoot was fun, the weather, however, was FREEZING. We struggled a bit, evidence in my fists in a few of these photos (which I find hilarious).
For my first look, I wanted to shoot this new Equipment top I got for my birthday with red polka dots. By itself, the dots can sometimes be hard to register, but I love how my red Zara coat really brings them out. As I’ve mentioned before, Equipment is probably my favorite brand for getting quality button downs, primarily silk. This one happens to be satin, but pretty much every other top from them I have is silk. They always hold up, always look amazing, and sometimes you can get really great deals on them on shops like Rue La La or Gilt. If you haven’t yet, definitely check them out!
I’m loving colored coats this season – it makes me really happy I bought this one last year! Colored coats are something I think everyone should have, as its a way to either throw in a pop of color or a fun print (if it has a print). They really jazz up any outfit, and I think you’ll be surprised by how much you have in your closet that will go with it. Red is such a great color because it can almost be seen as another neutral. I linked an almost identical one from Zara above – definitely check it out!
